The virus is rapidly infecting people and is spreading from one person to other person and results into hazardous illness in United States which may lead to deaths, with increasing number of cases being reported internationally also.

The CDC it anticipates that in the upcoming days and weeks that there will be more cases of Swine Influenza, more hospitalization and also a increasing number of death due to newly found virus because the population has little to no immunity against it. novel influenza. A (H1N1) activity is know being detected in two of CDC’s influenza surveillance system as reported in may 2009 flu view

It was found on the may 8 that number of people visiting there doctor with influenza like illness and it is higher than expected later this year in United States.

Treatment of Swine Flu:

Treatment of Swine Flu in Swine (PIG):

The Swine Influenza is not that much fatal to the pigs and does not causes huge mortality and it requires a very little amount of treatment. Today the main efforts are not focused on the treatment of the effected pigs whereas the main focus is on the prevention of the transfer of the virus among the pigs from one farm to the other farm. Today's pork industry uses the antibiotics which does not have any prevention against the Swine Influenza virus but it prevent the pigs which are weakened from other disease which are bound affect the herds during the Swine Influenza those diseases are bacterial Pneumonia and many secondary infections.

Prevention in the spread of Swine flu:

The prevention of the Swine flu has three different types; the first type is to prevent the transmission of the Swine flu among the Pigs, second is the prevention of the transmission from pigs to the Humans and the third type being of the prevention of the spread of the Swine flu among the humans.

Prevention in Humans:

Prevention of Pigs to Human transmission:

The transmission of the Swine Flu from the Swine (Pig) to Humans is occasional in the case of negligence committed by the person who remains in the close contacts of the swine. The people who work in the swine farms and handle herds are the most likely to contact the disease but the Swine influenza virus is not that much effective in effecting the humans so just by wearing gloves, masks and one should not smoke when in close contacts of the swine. So by just following the simple techniques one can prevent him/her by the Swine Influenza virus.

Prevention of Human to Human Transmission:

The Swine Influenza virus in humans can be transmitted with the help of sneezing, coughing, nose or mouth contact with the infected person or if the person touches the substances that carries the virus can also cause the Swine influenza to spread from human to human. One should avoid public gathering or social outing during the outbreak of the Swine and the symptoms are not easy to identify hence they are send to the laboratory for the required test to confirm the presence of the virus. It is known that virus p the Swine influenza remains contagious for the first five days and in minors it remains contagious for 11-12 days. One can prevent by simple maintenance of hygiene and avoid the contact with infected people while during in the public transport any other gathering

Prevention in the spread of Swine flu:

The prevention of the Swine flu has three different types, the first type is to prevent the transmission of the Swine flu among the Pigs,

Prevention in Swine (pigs):

The Swine flu can be prevented from spreading among the pigs by the proper management of the facilities, herds and with proper influenza vaccination. There is huge of amount of illness associated and have risk of the death causes the secondary infection because of pathogens (Disease causing viruses). Control strategies that rely on vaccinations are not that much effective in this regard.

The control of the swine influenza using the vaccinations has been becoming more difficult for the last few decades because of the strains of the viruses have become much more resistant that the effect of the vaccines does not leads to the decrease of the population of the viruses in the host. One of the most useful effective drugs that can control the Swine influenza is a bivalent SIV drug that is available commercially in the United States of America.

The herd management includes that the infected should pigs not be added in the herds where the healthy pigs might contact the viruses because of close contacts between the pigs. The viruses are active in healthy pigs for about 2-3 months a they carry the viruses and which may also lead to the outbreak of the Swine influenza. So such carrier pigs must isolate from the groups to avoid infection.

Facility management requires the proper ways of maintaining the clean environment by disinfecting using the disinfectants, maintaining a proper temperature control can also control the spread or outbreak of the Swine Influenza.

Main symptoms of the Swine Flu in Swine:

The main symptoms of the pig influenza in pigs are fever, lethargy, sneezing, coughing, difficulty breathing and decreased appetite. It can also lead to weight loss as well economic losses to the farmers, those pigs(swine) infected with the influenza tends to loose nearly 6kg of weight over a period of 3 weeks. It may also lead to abortion whereas the mortality rate in this influenza is low.

Main symptoms of Swine flu in Humans:

Direct transmission of the swine flu from the pigs to the Humans is occasionally possible and when it happens it leads to Zoonotic Swine flu. The Zoonotic swine flu is not much lethal because the number of the deaths reported over the period of years it has been quite low but the infection rate of the influenza is higher because it is mild and does not get easily detected. It requires the laboratory tests to detect the swine influenza.

The outbreak of the swine influenza is not the caused by the direct transmission from pig to humans but the outbreak is due to the transmission from human to human. The symptoms this influenza in humans is as like as the general influenza such as fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. The 2009 outbreak has shown an increased percentage in the number of patients reporting diarrhea and vomiting..

Transmission of Swine Flu.

Transmission of the Swine flu among the Pigs:

Swine flu is communicable type. This virus gets transmitted from the infected pigs to non-infected pigs because they tend to be in a close contact during the time of transportation. This direct transfer occur due to the pigs rubbing against the each others nooses or it can also happen through the dried mucous. When the pigs sneeze and cough the aerosol are produced which leads to the airborne transmission of the Swine flu among the pigs. The airborne transmission is one of the common means of the infections. The pigs always remain in herds and thus they get affected with the virus within a time of few days. Wild Boar is one of the wild animals which leads to the transmission of the Swine flu from one farm to the other farm.

Transmission of Swine flu from Pig to Humans and among Humans:

When Swine flu gets transmitted to the humans from pigs it is called as Zoonotic Swine influenza. Usually this virus gets transmitted to those humans who are regularly in contact with the poultry and Swine. Thus the people working in close contact with the Swine and poultry pose great chances of contacting the Flu virus.

Transmission of this virus to humans does not lead to the influenza. If it results in influenza the spread of the influenza is mild as the count of the virus the human host tends to be low enough that it does not leads to an outbreak of the influenza.
